Specialising in the use of game engines, VR, and motion capture technologies to explore ethnic identity revival and collective memory preservation through distorted visual narratives.
From Buyi Culture to Digital Practices
My creative practice revolves around narratives of identity, memory and speculative future of the Buyi ethnic minority. By blurring the line between existence and disappearance, I try to explore how digital realities can resurrect ancestral memories against the backdrop of dying ethnic consciousness.
